There was a long line when I came in yesterday, which says it all, Porto’s never disappoints. The flan is perfectly creamy, the fresh fruit tart is light and refreshing, the almond croissant is flaky and rich, and the chocolate vegan chip cookies and chocolate hazelnut besitos are absolutely delicious. This is my go-to place for family birthdays, important celebrations, or even just a well-deserved cheat-day treat. Always a win.

You can’t come to SoCal and not stop at Portos. Their cheese rolls and guava pastries are chefs kiss but honestly I’ve never had a bad pastry here! Not only are they a delicious must, they’re also very affordable. Don’t forget to grab a drink and a meal! Food is equally yummy!

Seating on a Saturday is a little difficult to find. A lady bug flew into my ham and cheese sandwich and the managers were happy to make me another one. Marco was very attentive to my table and offered to clear anything up as we ate. We really appreciate the staff at this establishment. The food here is so good! I recommend the Cheese Roll.

I drove 8 hours from Sacramento to come and try this bakery out that everyone was saying was the best food the ever had. Not only was it the best sweets I ever had it was ridiculously under priced, I honestly asked the manager how they were making money lol. The same food I bought from here would have easily been 4 times the price in Sacramento. Delicious food and a good price you can’t beat it. When you go in ask for George, he was very kind and patient while helping us since we were from out of town.

Great place actually, really good food and it got there quickly. Just sooooo many people, probably a bad time on our part. There was a huge line. Worth the wait though!

I’m not sure how I have missed this place over the years but you must try it. My best friend took me here before Easter and it is sort the wait in line. The pastries, potato balls and cakes were all delicious. We stocked up and gave them to friends and family and had a few ourselves. Delicious!

Finally got to try Porto's and I absolutely understand what others are talking about. It was recommended to me from my brother, and I was just in awe! The parking was unfortunately tough, street parking was packed on a regular weekday, a little after 10am and before noon. My husband had to drive around while I went inside and shop for us. My first thought was that I was so overwhelmed with the amount of pastries displayed! They all looked absolutely delicious and reasonably priced, which is not something easy to find in LA, let alone Cali! I got the infamous cheese roll per suggestion, coconut strudel, churro croissant, and dulce de leche besito. The total for all was less than $10! How was that even possible! In this day and age?! Anyway, then I got back to the car. My husband had the coconut strudel, I had the cheese roll. Both were absolutely wonderfully amazingly delicious!! I could not believe how I never tried this before! We shared the besito, it was so cute and delicious too! We had the churro croissant the next day after heated in microwave. It was uhmazing, tasted freshly baked. Next time, I hope we get to find a parking so we can sit down and enjoy their other delicious food!

We had a great experience at Porto’s! Marcos provided excellent customer service and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Ordered the Chicken Milanesa Sandwich, a Dulce de Leche Latte, and the Blueberry Cheese Croissant, and everything was fresh, delicious, and exceeded our expectations. Marcos’ friendly attitude made the visit even better. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Porto's Bakery & Cafe has been our go-to place for many years—for family celebrations, bringing dessert to someone’s home, or simply treating ourselves. Porto's Bakery & Cafe has truly been a part of our lives, and we’ve enjoyed so many delicious items there over the years. We even had their carrot cake for our 28th wedding anniversary, and it’s my favorite carrot cake anywhere. I also love their strawberry cake with whipped cream and fresh sliced strawberries, as well as the Parisian chocolate cake, which is incredibly delicious. Honestly, I’ve never had anything there that wasn’t good. Everything tastes fresh, made with quality ingredients, and the prices are very affordable. They offer dine-in, takeout, and delivery through services like DoorDash. Parking can be challenging when it’s busy, but they open early, which makes pickups easier. And their chocolate chip cookies are some of the best. Highly recommend!

I drove 2 hours from San Diego just to try this place—and it was absolutely worth it! The food was spectacular from start to finish. Alex helped me choose some amazing items, including the Spicy Chicken Milanesa. The bread was warm and perfectly made, and the melted cheese just brought everything together. We also tried the Tuna Melt—wow! The bread was crispy, the cheese melted perfectly, and the tuna tasted incredibly fresh. The potato balls stuffed with meat, cheese, and jalapeño are a MUST try! And don’t even get me started on the desserts—they’re all made with love and you can truly taste it. We grabbed drinks and sat outside—there’s plenty of space whether you’re going solo, on a date, or meeting up with family and friends. The whole atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. Anthony was kind and generous, and Gabby (the general manager) is clearly doing an amazing job. The place runs smoothly, everything is clean (including the bathrooms), and the staff genuinely seem happy to be there. Definitely come check this place out—you won’t regret it! Pro tip: park in the back (about $2/hour). You’ll thank me later!
